"NEW CONFERENCE" is an initiative of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Women Empowerment Project, which supports female business owners aiming for growth to acquire the necessary management knowledge and skills, as well as the connections and networks to share them.
Women are increasingly involved in business and organizational management. However, female business owners face many challenges, such as starting a business but not being able to increase its scale, having inherited a business and wanting to learn management from scratch, or having become independent as a sole proprietor but not having a clear roadmap for the future. Hence, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has launched a registration system for female business owners who are taking on such diverse challenges, providing learning opportunities such as seminars and mentoring programs.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government provides multifaceted support for women to play an active role as managers and expand their businesses.
The "TOKYO Women CEO Award" is an award system to support and honor female executives who are working ambitiously to upscale their businesses, and are contributing to solving social issues in Tokyo.
By awarding female business owners with outstanding achievements in various fields and growth stages, it will promote the active participation of women in corporate management and revitalize industry in Tokyo.
There are two award categories: Growth Champion Division and Sustainable Management Division. Growth Champion Division is awarded to female business owners who have been achieving results for three consecutive years, and Sustainable Management Division honors the sustainable management skills of female business owners who have been leading their companies for more than 10 years.
This program consists of 8 sessions. It targets starting female business owners in Tokyo, and provides comprehensive knowledge and know-how on people, goods, and finance necessary to create a "sustainable business”.
This program consists of 12 sessions. It targets female business owners in Tokyo who are in their third management term or later. It provides knowledge and know-how necessary to brush up business plans, which is essential for management. It is a systematic program that enables participants to learn practically while applying it to their own business.
To support the development of businesses run by female business owners, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has created a membership registration system. For those who have registered, we will provide information useful for business growth, such as management-related information, financial information such as grants, information on the Tokyo Women's Business Award, information on participation in the NEW CONFERENCE hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, etc. The membership will send information on free management seminars, information on how to use mentors, etc. via email as well.
